I am an author who is tired of writing. Well, not really tired, just in need of a brief pause. My imagination is always working, so I could never really stop writing because there is always so much to say. I have always tried to share a message through my stories. The messages have varied, but they all relay the same thing–that no matter what we go through in life, there is a God who is always watching over us, and a Savior who is there to help us through the rough
patches of our sojourn here on this earth.
I have been writing for many years and published many inspirational romance novels and novellas, always infusing bits of myself and my past into the stories, hoping that through those bits and pieces, my readers would get to know me a little better–me, the person, as
well as the author. But my readers cannot get to know me that way, with just snatches here and there. They can't possibly know what really makes me tick, and that is exactly what I want them to know–what makes me tick. To accomplish this, I need to share my story and
what brought me to this point in my life.
And so I will.
I have started this little book several times, unsure of which way to begin. I don’t want to write a major expose, because some things are better left unsaid, some wounds too painful to reopen. I simply want to share a message of hope, change and redemption. After more praying I finally received inspiration on how to begin, so this is a do-over.
Mine is the story of a battle–a personal war that raged within me for the first twenty-four of my fifty years of life. Some will say my story is no different than so many others, and that may be true. However, in one way it is different.
It happened to me.
